Evidence labels
Every article carries a label, and individual claims inside an article are separated in the text. An article with official sources does not automatically contain only officially confirmed statements.
| Label | What it means |
|---|---|
| Official | Announced or published by the developer or publisher. |
| Developer statement | A sourced interview or presentation, recorded with its date. |
| Analysis | Our own interpretation, clearly separated from announcements. |
| Series context | Earlier works. Does not imply a feature in the new game. |
| Unconfirmed | Insufficient evidence. Not a softer word for confirmed. |
| Outdated | Superseded by newer information. Kept for the record. |
Colour is never the only signal. A badge always spells out its status in words, and a green label on a fan publication never implies an official Blizzard page.
Sources and updates
Link to the original source where possible. Read the source in context rather than repeating a headline. Record the date of the statement and the date of the check. A substantial revision needs a short change note, shown on the article itself. Correct a mistake plainly instead of silently replacing it.
Original value
Every article should solve a reader’s question or contribute a clear interpretation. Translating or rearranging somebody else’s report is not enough. Use short, necessary quotations; do not reproduce scripts, interviews, manuals or wikis. Keep research notes so the editor can trace factual claims.
AI and human responsibility
AI may assist with drafting, structure, coding or original illustrations. A human editor remains responsible for accuracy, usefulness and rights review before publication. Do not invent a byline, a test session, an interview or a review score. Label generated artwork whenever it could be mistaken for official material.
Spoilers and reader choice
Warn readers before revealing major earlier story developments. Use specific spoiler labels, and keep ordinary mechanical help readable without opening plot summaries.
Advertising and independence
Label display placements “Advertisement”. Do not imitate navigation or game controls with ads. Avoid placing ad units beside frequently used tool buttons. Editorial conclusions must not be sold to an advertiser. Pages without their own substantial content — error pages, empty search results, confirmations — carry no placement at all.
Corrections
The public site provides a working corrections contact and records material changes on the affected page.
